Mitsubishi Electric contactors are electromagnetic switching devices that are very popular in Indonesia for controlling electric motors and industrial automation systems. The latest series that has become the standard is the MS-T Series (S-T type contactor), which is designed to be more compact and efficient than the older S-N series.Main Contactor SeriesMitsubishi groups its contactors into two main series that are most commonly found on the market:• S-T Series (Latest/MS-T): This line focuses on saving panel space. For example, the 10A model is only 36 mm wide, making it one of the smallest in its class. This series is equipped with standard terminal covers for safety.• S-N Series (Legacy): A classic series that is still widely used as replacement parts. Although being replaced by the S-T series, units such as the S-N10 to S-N600 remain available for high-current applications.Popular Type Specifications (AC-3 Rated at 380-440V)Here are the technical parameters for some S-T types commonly used for 3-phase motors:Type Current Capacity (A) Motor Capacity (kW) Built-in Auxiliary ContactsS-T10 9A 4 kW 1 NOS-T12 12A 5.5 kW 1 NOS-T21 22A 11 kW 2 NO + 2 NCS-T35 35A 18.5 kW 2 NO + 2 NCS-T50 50A 22 kW 2 NO + 2 NCS-T100 100A 55 kW 2 NO + 2 NCInstallation Recommendation: When selecting, ensure the coil voltage matches your control system (220V for standard electricity). For motor loads, use a TH-T type Thermal Overload Relay compatible with the S-T series for maximum protection.
